Prepares your shoot.
Ready for Gyroflow Desktop.

GyLogSync takes your video clips and the .gcsv motion log from GyLog, splits the gyro data into per-clip files, and (for iPhone ProRes RAW) fixes any frame-timing issues that break stabilization. You then finish the sync in Gyroflow Desktop with full manual control. Works with iPhone standalone (ProRes RAW + iPhone GyLog) or any other camera with a phone running GyLog mounted as the IMU.

01

Gyro log splitting

Splits the single session .gcsv from GyLog into per-clip files so each MOV has its own matching motion log.

02

Manual fine-tuning

GyLogSync's output slots into Gyroflow Desktop, where you can adjust sync offsets, rolling-shutter timing, smoothness, and crop interactively per clip. Hands-on control for shots where automated alignment isn't quite enough.

03

Audio trimming

Trims the audio recorded by GyLog (iOS only) to match each video clip — used as a backup sync reference in Gyroflow. Skipped when no audio is present (e.g. logs from the Android GyLog app).

04

Drag-and-drop

No settings, no dialogs. Drop your files onto the app, and Sync figures out which clip goes with which log.

Five manual steps to stabilized footage.

01

Shoot with GyLog running

Launch GyLog on your phone (iPhone or Android) and tap Start. For most cameras, mount the phone firmly to the camera so they share motion, run GyLog's Calibrate Mount to record the phone's angle, then shoot as you normally would. iPhone can also be used standalone — record video on the iPhone itself while GyLog logs motion on the same device, then de-shake afterward.

02

Transfer to Mac

Move your MOV files and the .gcsv log to your Mac — AirDrop or the Files app both work.

03

Drop into GyLogSync

Drag the files or their folder into GyLogSync. It fixes timing, splits the gyro log per clip, trims audio if needed, and writes the outputs in the same folder as the video files, or inside the folder you dropped.

04

Sync in Gyroflow Desktop

Open Gyroflow Desktop. Load each .mov with its .gcsv, tune the sync, and save a .gyroflow project file.

05

Stabilize in DaVinci Resolve

On the Color page, add the Gyroflow OFX plugin and load the .gyroflow file. Adjust FOV to remove black borders.
