Troubleshooting

Use this page when stabilization or sync does not look right.

Footage Still Looks Shaky

• Confirm that the GyLog recording matches the video file.
• Check whether Auto sync worked in Gyroflow.
• Adjust Smoothness, FOV, and Crop.
• Confirm that camera-side stabilization was not left on.

The Edge of the Frame Looks Distorted

• Check whether the lens profile matches the shooting mode.
• Try again without a lens profile and compare the result.
• 100mm and 13mm are not currently recommended profiles for the iPhone workflow. Start testing with 24mm first.

Sync Does Not Match

• Use the per-clip .gcsv file created by GyLogSync.
• In Gyroflow Desktop, set Rough gyro offset to -5.0 seconds before running Auto sync.
• Guess and confirm IMU orientation.

• Original video file
• The .gcsv created by GyLogSync
• The saved .gyroflow file
• iPhone model, shooting settings, and lens profile information
